I wish this pic didn't have the power wires showing, but I took it from the road, as I didn't want to step right into my neighbour's property. You can see how much the leaves have changed since last Sunday's posting.
Here are some other trees in my neighbourhood. It was beautiful and sunny on Saturday when I took them. A rare treat on Thanksgiving weekend to have such warmth; unfortunately, the sun has bleached the leaves and they don't look quite so crisp.

Wendy you have captured the essence of autumn perfectly....the colours are so beautiful......if we just take time to look around...it does not make our troubles disappear but it restores our souls a little......
I never cease to be in awe of the wonder of creation. Being with Ella in October is especially wonderful with the fall colors all around.
Beautiful!!!! I love fall. I put out pumpkins over the weekend.
Lovely colour and sunlight to show it off. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours...so special that you say that when others in your situation would complain.
Hi Cheryl, It certainly restores the soul - you got that right! I do love walking around and absorbing all the wonderful sights and sounds of the season.
Hi Bev, I agree totally. Mother Nature really is awesome, isn't she?
HI Annette - I love pumpkins too! I found this year that they were too heavy for me to carry, so I just admire every else's.
Hi Ruth, oh, I do plenty of complaining, but I do feel thankful and blessed. Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving to you as well.
Wendy, thank you so much for sharing everything. It takes so much to do this and I am thankful that there are people as real as you in the world. Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!
Oh Wendy! Your pictures are beautiful. Thank you for sharing a bit of autumn and Thanksgiving with us. This is the time of year that I get homesick for the changing seasons.
Hi Mimi - thank you so much for your kind words. I am pleasantly surprised.
Hi morningglories - you are very welcome to enjoy the changing seasons with me. I am glad to have you for a friend.
I hope you had a good thanksgiving weekend, the weather was glorious here, blue blue sky showing off the red and gold leaves, beautiful!
I just love your pictures. I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful too.
Be blessed my friend.
Gremmy
Oh it's one of those days I can not even spell my own man. Sorry hehehe
What lovely autumnal colors! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Dear Wendy--I feel so blessed to have you for a friend. I never imagined when I started blogging that I would count among my friends people I have never actually met! Hope you are having a good day. -jenny

Isn't God's beauty astounding? It never ceases to amaze me. Thanks!
Hi shammickite - yes, we did, tks. The colours are awesome, aren't they?
Hi Grammy, don't worry, we all have those days. Thanks for stopping by. Blessings to you too.
Hi Beckie - thank you. Hope you are enjoying the autumnal colours too.
Hi Jenny, I feel blessed to have you for a friend too. I never imagined that blogging would bring so many good people together. So many with the same thoughts and values. Thanks for being you.
Hi Marmee - tks for the tag. Will be over to see you.
Hi Nancy, oh yes, I agree. We are surrounded by natural beauty - if only we take time to appreciate it.
Hi BearNaked, no tks on the left-over turkey. I've had too many turkey adventures this weekend.
The short version: bought a frozen turkey which tasted disgusting, so threw it away. Bought a fresh turkey (time factor), but it was too small, so I also cooked a chicken and mixed both turkey and chicken on the same platter. Nobody noticed. Everybody thought it was delicious. Whew!
Happy Thanksgiving to you too.
Gorgeous!
Sandra
Dear Wendy,
I am so grateful I have met you. Your pictures are lovely.
My trees are just starting to turn.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Namaste,
Sherry
Just stopped by to say Hi. I was thinking of you today. Hope all is well.
By the way My real name is Ernestine. But every one calls me Ernie or E for short.
Funny thing: Thanksgiving and how different it is celebrated around the world and even the times when its celebrated differ greatly!
But - gladly - we don't have the turkey tradition so are spared the high dramas like you had with your 'frozen - bird'. LOL LOL
Love your wonderful autumn pictures, isn't the smell of the dried leafes fantastic?
Lots of hugs
Carin
Hi Sandra, thanks for stopping by.
Hi Sherry, thanks for your good wishes. So you are at the beginning of your trees turning colours...and we are in the middle.
Isn't fall fun??
Hi Ernie, thanks for stopping by. Things have been a little busy around here. Will check out your blog tonight. Hope you are well.
Hi Carin, what no turkey? It does seem rather strange to only serve turkey at thanksgiving and christmas. I sometimes serve it at other times, but not so much.
Thanks for your compliments re autumn. Smell of autumn leaves? Well, I think I like the smell of chocolate better. LOL. Hugs back at ya.
Your pics are great.
Wendy, maybe in about two weeks I'll show the same beauty you have right now.
Wow. Power lines or not - it's Autumn at its best :o)
Mary
Hi JeanMac, thank you.
Hi Mary, I'm looking forward to seeing your pics!
