Baby Owen Sean
He's wide awake in Grandma Wendy's arms.
He weighed 6 lbs. 12 oz.
After the hospital visit, I went to Computer Son's home to look after Owen's brothers and sister. We ordered pizza and watched movies while Daddy was visiting Mommy and baby in hospital.
Tomorrow they'll be home. Hospital stays are short and sweet these days. They don't let you rest like we did way back when.
But then again, I think most mothers would rather be at home surrounded by their family (and not eating hospital food!)

such a sweetie...he looks cuddly too.
Congratulations. Lots of fun coming...
Aw, Her is so adorable. Is that blond or brown hair? His weight is great he is 2 oz more than Jozlyn. Is His mom doing good too?
I love your hair I have been thinking of cutting mine. And streaks. Or Like Sharon Osborn black and maroon. I have never colored it before so I do not know if I can breath through the treatment.
Congrats Grandmother.. He's a cutie pie---and I love that picture of you and Owen.
Hugs,
Betsy
What a cutie! I remember holding each of my grandchildren for the first time in the hospital--it's a special moment, isn't it, Wendy? Enjoy this precious little one.
Hi Bev, yup, he's a cuddly one.
Hi Bev, thank you. There certainly are a lot of babies being born these days.
Hi Grammy - he's blond, like his sister and one of his brothers. Mother is doing well. No epidural. She's ready to go home.
I cut my hair recently. I always grow it for a while and then cut it short. Just for a change. I've been streaking it for years. I like that better than an "all over" colour.
Hugs.
Hi Betsy, thank you.
Hi Rose, you are so right! It really is special to hold them when they are just hours old. I never even thought grandmothering would be so wonderous! I am glad you speak from experience.
Beautiful picture. Owen was my father's middle name. Nice, solid name. Congratulations.
Love your new background.

Oh..... he is so gorgeous and you are very lucky to be so close by!
It used to be a ten day stay in hospital. I can remember it being really stressful with the second child. Having to be separated from the first child, so maybe it is a good idea to come home early.
Enjoy your little grandson.
Dear Wendy....seeing a newborn always gives me such hope....what a beautiful baby boy......don't you just love that new baby smell...ooohhhh
I wish baby Owen a happy and healthy life....enjoy...
I was in hospital for ten days with my son.....far toooooo long...I just wanted to get home with my new bundle (then I panicked) lol
What a lovely picture of you both! Congratulations once again. I like the name too.
Hi annette - thank you. I think you have the same background too! Yes, Owen sounds like an old-fashioned solid name.
Hi Maggie May, you're so right. It's hard being separated from the first small child. I am happy things have changed in that regard.
Hi Cheryl, 10 days! No, I never stayed that long. I think the longest was 4 or 5. Thank you. I love that baby smell too!
Hi Kanak, it is a nice name. Don't really know where it came from, as they were thinking of other names originally.
Dear Wendy,
Please give baby Owen a special hug from me.
I see your smile and love the way baby Owen fits in your arms.
The tender ties of our heart strings bind us forever. He is hope. He is love.
Thank you. So very sweet.
Namaste,
Sherry
He sure looks sweet.
They don't keep you long in hospital now.
My first one was about 24 hours
My second one I was home for dinner.
Coffee is on.
Hi Sherry,
Thank you for your kind words. I will certainly give baby Owen a special hug from you.
Namaste.
Hi Peppy lady, wow - I think you broke all the hospital records!
