Hubby's little granddaughter underwent an operation on her heart today.
We waited all day for the news. Finally Hubby's Younger Son called with the good news that the operation was a success. Little Grace will now begin to heal. At just three months old, this was a rather traumatic way to begin her life.
We are still waiting for littlest grandson to arrive. Mother is frustrated. Contractions come and go. She has been to hospital once and sent home. This is baby number 5. You'd think her body would know how to do this by now.
It's cold and windy these February days, but the strong, bright sun is encouraging.
Hubby's strength is returning. He is coming out of his "down cycle". It is so good to see his energy returning; as if his spirit had been lost, wandering in the woods. Now he's found his way back home again.
For how long?
We never know.
But we will celebrate his return.

Wendy, such good news on all counts! Such an ordeal for baby Grace to go through-and all of you as well. The promise of spring can do wonders for everyone, hubby included.
Now if that baby would just arrive!
Glad you have good news today and maybe the baby will come out soon. They go by their own time table.
The spring will come.
Great news, Wendy... I know it's always scary when our loved ones--especially one so young--- go through surgeries like that. God Bless her--and all of you.
Hugs,
Betsy
Good news! So glad to hear!
Did you say Spring?? We just got another 3-4 inches of snow!! :o/

Thinking of you all......
I'm so happy for your good news, Wendy! Little Grace's ordeal must have been very frightening for your whole family, but hopefully she will now be a happy, healthy little girl. And I'm glad to hear Hubby is doing better. All you need now is that new grandchild to appear to make your happiness complete!
It does sound scary to hear about a baby as young as little Grace undergoing surgery. But I'm glad she's is healing...
You and your husband have been very much on my mind ever since I read your last post. It's good news that your Hubby is coming out of his "down cycle". I hope that this phase stays on a little longer than you think...
Love and prayers...
hello wendy,
so glad hubby is feeling better for now. i know that is good for you. how great that your grandbaby is doing well after the surgery, too. we are having very cold weather still but today the sun decided to shine, it makes such a difference when it does.
i had shrimp and chocolate on valentine's day too, that is too funny. happy sunday to you.
Praise reports all around. What wonderful news.
Annette

I though I left a comment. I an so sorry the baby has to go through so much. My prayers are with her.
So sad for the little one to go through so much at her young age but it's better done than not. Good news that she came through it all in one piece.
Good news on the hubby front too!! I hope he picks up a little so you can enjoy some quality time together..
Baby Grace is in good hands! I'm so happy that her problems have been diagnosed so early, and have been corrected.... good luck and good health to her and to her mummy and daddy. And I hope that little baby arrives soon..... naughty little baby making everyone wait so long!
Ooo .. I'm happy little baby is fine. Her little cut will heal very quickly. Maybe we'll hear another good news soon, on the arrival of a new baby ...
Hi, Wendy, yes, those were bare toes. The weather was beautiful while I was there, although I thought it was cold. Ella had gotten some Minnie Mouse flip-flops when she was at DisneyWorld in January, and those were what she wanted to wear outside. Since it wasn't freezing, I let her wear them. of course, they didn't stay on her feet.
I'll be going back up for a couple of weeks in April. David turns 30 on the 15th, so I want to be there for that moment.
I hope you are well.
Well that's strange. Blogger doesn't want to register my comments. Hmmmm. Left one the other day thanking everybody and giving an update. I guess it got lost in cyberspace.
I'm also having trouble leaving comments on some of your blogs.
