Mrs. Tiggywinkle and her baby keep watch over my herb gardens. Somebody's been nibbling my purple basil in the night! I suspect it must be naughty chipmunks. Do you think they flavour their salads with it? Or brew basil tea?
I started potting up some herbs for Computer Son last year. Now it's become a tradition. He enjoys cooking and likes to use fresh herbs in his creations. Looks like a sneaky groundhog helped himself to the parsley (on the left side of the container). That's why all the herbs have ended up on the table. I hope he (or she) doesn't know how to climb.
Sweet pansies......I wonder if they're having a sing-along. Or maybe they're just sunbathing. Whatever.... I think they're happier in a container instead of in the ground. They usually dry up and die about mid-summer; probably due to our sandy soil and fierce sun.
Snapdragons are so pretty, but I haven't had much luck, until I tried this variety last year. I like the way they cascade gracefully down the sides of the pot. And the blooms last all summer.
And last, but not least, our resident faerie, having a private consultation with another pot of pansies. I wonder who is telling the secrets and who is listening?? Happy gardening everyone!
Enjoy the weekend!

Hi Wendy, your snapdragons are amazing I love the colors. Your garden faerie is doing a great job along with your help of course. Thank you for your heart felt words. They mean allot to me. Big hug. Have a great week end.
Your potted garden is cool. I just started one this year, mostly flowers but two largish ones will have some salad greens, I hope. Say "hi" to Tiggywinkle for me.
Hi Wendy....pretty blooms and beautiful fairy. Pots are wonderful to keep the little creatures away from our precious flowers. Although they are a chore to water there are so many other advantages. I would not be without mine....
Sanny soil....you are so lucky....that would be my dream.....so many beautiful plants can be grown in a free draining soil.....
Have a wonderful weekend and hope the sun is shining on you.....
Thanks for showing us around your garden. I love it! I also have little statues and figures all over the place!
Love snapdragons but haven't seen them here at all.
Wendy, I'm picturing those naughty chipmunks making a nice pesto sauce for their pasta:) Your snapdragons are lovely; I planted some seeds this year, but haven't seen a sign of any coming up:(
Hope the fairies keep watching over your garden, and have a wonderful weekend, too!
I think the fairies have been helping you with your gardening. It all looks so lovely! I especially like the pansies. Mrs. Tiggywinkle looks as though she is trying to tell you what happened to the Basil!
Hi Wendy, Your garden is doing GREAT--both herbs and flowers... I'm impressed.
My mother used to grow Snapdragons. Pretty flower for sure.
Hope you have a great Sunday also.
Hugs,
Betsy
I love the Faerie. They are an important part of every garden to watch over the plants. I planted my herbs right among the flowers by the lanai door, so that I can snip them quickly and keep a watch out for who is nibbling. Lately I have gotten the impression that Miss Faerie has developed a taste for garlic chives. I hope her breath does not offend her little garden subjects. Pansies are the perfect bloomer here all winter. I never had much of a fondness for them in Ontario, bur I have sure learned to love them here at Christmas and all through the winter months. I hope your weekend is proceeding delightfully Wendy. Mine sure is, and I appreciate your lovely comments.

Loved going through the photos of your potted garden. Your blooms are looking great... the pansies and the snapdragons. Haven't planted the latter for a long time.Maybe this winter, that's the season here. The watchers of your herb gardens are so cute. So's the garden faerie.
Thanks everyone. Gardening is fun, isnt' it? I love all of your comments. Will visit your blogs.
Happy gardening!
Dear Wendy,
All of your containers are so pretty. I love your fairies!
Gardening is fun...sometimes....

Lovely container gardens. My posts are dug up every morning and I have yet to catch the culprit. I suspect squirrels but whoever it is has a taste for geraniums, impatiens, and basil.
Hi, Wendy. Your flowers and herbs are lovely. The fairies and Mrs. Tiggywinkle are doing a splendid job. They must be quite exasperated by the naughty chipmunks! :-)
Thanks so much for visiting my blog. I loved your hibiscus story. I'm quite certain it was a message from both your mother and God.
Beautiful pics! I have a few snapdragons left and 1 clump of lobelia...all the pansies and violas are gone until late Oct or early Nov. I always look forward to your beautiful pictures.
Nice, I have been planning a herb garden for ages but haven't found the time so far. I think it's too late now for this year.
