Misty Morning Cobwebs

The little spiders were busy in the night. Or maybe it was the faeries! Spinning delicate lace on the cedar hedge.
This one looks like a cradle. Or a fisherman's net.
I don't have much to blog about today.
The Wheel of Life turns....
My aunt died yesterday at 95. She lived a good long life. I did not know her well, so was told by my cousin in an email. My cousin had been with our aunt when she died. I told my cousin that at our age, we are the midwives, helping our parents and older relatives pass on. It is our turn, and now we are the "elders".

A friend of my daughter's gave birth to triplets! Three baby girls. They are going to have their hands full - maybe feet too. LOL!

Hubby is not feeling well. But this is October and we've had rain and cold weather lately. Seasons change. Rain brings heaviness to those who struggle to breathe. He will be alright again....

Littlest grandson has a cold. He's almost 10 months now and this is his first one. His parents are concerned (rightly so - they're the ones he keeps awake at night), but through my Grandma eyes I know this will pass fairly soon. He is a lucky little boy.

I have started back with my aquafit classes. I do not worry as I go out the door. I need this time for me. My body feels better with water exercises. And I cannot control everything.....

I am very very grateful and appreciative for all the information, good resources, kindness and support from all of you in bloggerland. I really feel that by sharing our experiences or just saying "thinking of you" or "hope things get better"or "sending hugs and prayers" makes a HUGE difference in coping with the stress of illness.
Thank you all - you do make a difference.

What stunning pictures. I have never seen beauty in spider webs before. Hope your husband adjusts quickly to the wet weather and perks up a bit. Glad you are at the pool exercising. You know this already, you have to take care of yourself too.

I thank you to for being a part of my day too. Big hug. Sorry about you Aunt. I am so glad you found stress relief in the pool.
I love you photo too. The spiders are abundant right now. It is poring down the rain now. They brought the c-pack for Hubby today to help him breath through the night. But he is not using it. So I will have to get after him.
Have a good night dear.

Lovely photos of the spider webs, Wendy; it's amazing how spiders can create such intricate works of art.

Glad to hear you are going to aquafit classes; you are right--you need some time to yourself! Youngest grandson must have tubes put in his ears this week because of persistent ear infections. Hopefully, my son and daughter-in-law will get some rest after that, too.

I agree, Wendy, that blogging has given me much more than I expected; it's much like having a support group of friends.
Sending good wishes to all your family!

Spiders are horrid! However your webs are beautifully caught on camera. Well done! They are clever beasts for spinning so cleverly.

95 is a good age.
Triplets......phew. Work cut out for the future, I think.
You will get such pleasure out of your little grandson.
Sorry your husband is not having a good day.

You are certainly caught up in the web of life! Your post perfectly captures all points on the journey: life, death, old, young, ailing, and aquafit!

Wendy I am sorry about your aunt.

You probably don't know that I come from a rather dark humoured tribe, so when someone at the age of your aunt has died and someone would ask what she died off, you could be almost certain that the reply will be:

Well, it wasn't the midwives fault!

What we are meaning to say is, she had a long - longer then average - and - hopefully - good life.

We are disgusting, aren't we? LOL LOL LOL

Love your spiderweb pictures - and I don't even like spiders!

Lots of hugs for you and OH, and little grandson, I am sure he'll be better in no time and will keep his parents even more busy. LOL
Carin

Hi Grammy, its' raining here too. Your hubby will just take time with his C-pap. It won't happen overnight. It took my hubby a good amount of time to get used to wearing his 02.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Cheryl, thank you so much for your kindness. You are right.

Hi Mimi - yes, this is one of the things I have recently learned from my blogger friends. To take care of myself. Hugs back at ya.

Hi Rose, my grandson (Simon, who is 2 1/2 now) had tubes put in his ears last year. I thought my daughter-in-law was nuts having him undergo this operation, but she did and it went well and he's been fine ever since. So much for the wisdom of grandma. However, I am finding it hard to sometimes hold my tongue and let our children parent their own children.
I hope your little grandson has a successful outcome as well.
Thank you for your good wishes - I'm sending some your way too.

Hi Maggie May - thanks for stopping in.

Hey Judy - thanks for weaving your web of words - wonderful! LOL!

Hi Carin, your humour is always appreciated. She did have a full life - a little horrible towards the end, but now she is at peace.

I am sure little grandson will be full of energy before long. Thanks for your good wishes.

Hi LK - aren't they exquisite? Spiders webs are just like a fine piece of lace.

Dear Wendy,
Life is very interesting. The silk and the spinnets of the spiders just fascinate me. I think humans learned how to weave and spin from the spiders.
How the world wide web was created I do not know. Are there spinnets? Am I a spinnet? I am glad I am part of it and have met you. I have been honored to meet many taleted and caring people. I have learned so much. It is a fine way to have connection.
The older I get the more I realize I am the elder, the Crone now. I realize how important it is for me to take care of me. It is setting a good example for my daughter plus it is my responsibility. This is my body!!
Good for you for taking the aquafit classes.
Life is always changing. Celebrating the change and sharing our experiences makes it easier.
Thank you for this post.
Namaste,
Sherry

Triplets...oh, my. And absolutely that's some well-deserved time for you--those margaritas wouldn't be so bad, either. (wink)

Hi Sherry, I'm glad you are also caring for your body and setting a good example for your daughter. It must be the Crone age. And it feels good too. Oh, I'm sure our ancestors learned from watching spiders..

Hi Allie - thanks for stopping by.

Hi Amy - I'm glad I'm not the one with triplets! Sure, we'll celebrate with some margueritas! Why not??

Lovely pictures of webs, Wendy. I am always amazed at the precision and artistry (not to mention industriousness) of spiders--as long as they are outside! LOl!

So sorry to hear about your Aunt.

There some type of crud going around here also.

When I look at your first spider web and it reminds me of a sucking current in river.
I believe anther name would be an undertow.

Coffee is on.

Wendy said...

Hi JeanMac - thanks for your support. Aquafit is really helping.

Hi Jen, I agree. Their webs look so delicate and lacy.

Hi Pepperlady, undertow or whirlpool, for sure. Thanks for the coffee - it was delicious!

Great pictures. As far as your friend with triplets, she must be under stress. If you're interested here's some great stress-relievers http://www.newrinkles.com/index.php/archive/the-yellow-brick-road-for-the-stressed-out-under-stress-and-just-plain-stressed/
